The Creek Cleanup Project is a little different from the typical cleanup groups, here's why.
We remove everything from the creek leaving nothing behind, it doesn't matter if it's a plastic bag or a 300 gallon oil tank, we run the typical monthly cleanups but a small group of us go out weekly in between, we are not just focused on one section or area of the creek, but rather the whole creek.
We have taken a very aggressive approach to clean our creeks, the amount of large trash that has accumulated over generations, cannot be managed by monthly cleanups, once we have cleaned a section monthly cleanup will maintain it.
In time we will grow CCP to the point that we can cover all the creeks in Franklin county, this will be done by having multiple groups working different sections along each creek.
The goal for CCP is to organize the groups and provide them with the boats and tools needed to do the job.
CCP will also pickup the collected trash and dispose of it, large bulky items will be marked and noted so a more specilized group can come through and remove them at a later date.
Learning about the native wildlife that lives in and around the creeks.
Courses for novice and advanced paddlers. by a certified instructor.
Providing a canoe rental service to the public and a loan out program for people that volunteer and help out CCP during the cleanups.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions.
